Conventional wisdom says the 2024 election will be a rematch of Joe Biden versus Donald Trump. If this happens – a lot might change between now and next November – many people, regardless of political philosophy, will feel dismay.

Biden has done a reasonable job as president but has been reckless with national debt, and would be 86 years old in the final year of a second term. Trump had some good ideas – the southern border must be secured – but is of low personal character and after shameful violation of his oath to uphold the Constitution, should be kept far from any position of power.
